Bank Supervisors Check Exposures After Binance’s Reported $6.34 Billion Breach

Federal Reserve and OCC supervisors reportedly contacted banks about unusual activity or service disruptions following Binance’s October 29 breach. Binance said affected digital assets totaled $6.34 billion and that it had replenished 98% of affected token assets. It was restoring withdrawals in phases; the coverage did not establish completion. Banks serving digital-asset businesses must distinguish reported exposure, asset replenishment and customers’ ability to withdraw funds: the replenishment figure does not establish the final unrecovered loss.

Block’s Preliminary DOJ Deal Includes $764 Million Payment and $200 Million in Credits

Block disclosed an agreement in principle with the Department of Justice concerning an allegedly ineffective anti-money-laundering program under the Bank Secrecy Act. The proposed $964 million resolution comprises a $764 million payment and $200 million in credits for previous regulatory resolutions—not a $964 million cash fine. The contemplated arrangement would defer charges for three years, but Block had not finalized the agreement. Definitive documents would establish the remediation obligations relevant to Cash App and its banking partners; the coverage did not establish operating restrictions or a finalized compliance-monitor mandate.

Payoneer’s B2B Growth Outruns Revenue Ahead of Acquisition by Nuvei

Payoneer reported $25.3 billion in quarterly payment volume, up 13%, while revenue increased 5% to $222 million. B2B volume rose 59% to $5 billion, contrasting with 1% growth to $12.6 billion in its marketplace-SMB business. Management reiterated a targeted mid-2027 close for Nuvei’s previously announced $2.75 billion acquisition of Payoneer, subject to approvals. The proposed combination would join Payoneer’s wallet and payout capabilities with Nuvei’s payment processing; the earnings update did not announce a new transaction.

Yellow Card Adds Brazilian Pix Access Through Completed GoMoney Acquisition

Yellow Card completed its acquisition of Brazil’s GoMoney, establishing direct local operations with real-denominated collections and disbursements, including Pix, alongside stablecoin settlement and treasury services. The purchase adds an existing local business and payment-rail connectivity rather than a prospective integration. GoMoney continues operating under Brazil’s transitional regime while Banco Central do Brasil reviews its authorization application, and its founders remain in leadership. The reviewed coverage did not disclose production payment volumes or corridor-level pricing.
